“This is my medicine.” That was how one participant with a painful medical condition described her experience with Louise Goodling’s Equine Partnering. Another remarked that, though she had been to previous SARA-sponsored horse camps with other providers that were enjoyable, this camp with Louise was her favorite. What Louise offers is profound, and perhaps most of all, empowering. Their experience of gaining free, authentic connection and trust with their horse partners ushered discovery of newfound and exciting abilities within themselves! By allowing the wise and gentle honesty of horses to play a role as partners, our clients were given the opportunity to experience a healing connection in ways that they couldn’t have had otherwise. Thank you, Louise, for bringing Equine Partnering to our community!

"I asked for Louise’ tutoring after participating in a clinic she offered at Hope’s Legacy Equine Rescue in Afton, where I volunteer. I had recently acquired a band of five semi-wild, restoration breed Tarpans, and no experience around horses since childhood. For months, I had only approached them only with a fence between us. Louise’ exceptional ability to “speak Equus,” combined with her understanding of how humans and relate, brought us to where are now--able to halter and lead, we are beginning to work at liberty together. I feel confident around each individual horse, recognizing their differences. I am joyful when we are able to communicate. On most days they gallop to greet me. "
